Frequently asked questions are common on the web. This product is so simple, it is hard to anticipate any questions but we'll give it a try. We welcome your questions and will add them to our list.

When I order, how do I get my fence?
Currently, we are scheduling pick -up of pre-ordered fence on Saturdays at our Marcola Road location in Springfield, Oregon. For larger orders, we can arrange delivery. The fence sections are bundled and manageable and easily fit in most trunks, station wagons, SUV's or pick-ups.

How do the posts stay in the ground?
The posts have a metal extension that easily "pokes" in the ground but holds firmly.

When you say easy to install, how easy?
One person can do it. Just start at one end or corner of your fence layout. Place a post firmly in the ground with a good shove. Insert each of the two rails in the pre-drilled holes. Move to the opposite ends of the rails and position the next post at a slight angle. As you put the rail ends in the holes in the second post, push into the ground to a 90 degree, upright position. The rails will be securely positioned and held by the tension of the posts. When you are finished and satisfied with your fence placement, you might want to "set" the posts. We suggest placing a piece of scrap wood or other hard material on top of the post and giving it a firm rap with the side of a hammer or small sledge. Using another post can also work as a hammer. Gloves help protect you from splinters.

And easy to move?
Just pull each post up out of the ground and release the adjoining rails. Repeat above to reposition your fence.

What if I want to add to my fence?
Just use the layout under Planning and order additional sections as needed. There will be slight variations in color as this is natural cedar and trees vary. As the fence ages, the colors will compliment and blend.

Do I need a permit?
Our local building requirements do not consider this any differently than planting a shrub. You might check with your local building department but since no holes are dug, no concrete is poured, no building is modified, you will probably find the same answer. You might want to check your property lines and setback requirements. Your neighbor might be so delighted with your Lickety Split Cedar Fence, they might claim it as their own.

Do you ship Lickety Split Cedar Fence?
We are happy to ship via UPS but shipping costs can be an issue. We encourage you to contact your local garden and nursery store or home improvement store and ask them to carry Lickety Split Cedar Fence. We make it easy to set up wholesale accounts and shipping is less of an issue in larger quantities.
